Blinded By The Light :: May 24, 2011 :: Comments [5]

I read with interest on a fellow blogger's post the other day about how we get tied up in the tech of photoshop/lightroom etc and sometimes forget what it was we wanted from an image in the first place. IE what was it that made us press the shutter? I bet it wasn't "here's a scene with no clipped shadows or blown highlights".

Now I must confess I found myself agreeing. Of course there are times when these factors do matter but many times also that they do not, when I look around at the many wonderful blogs out there I don't consider whether it is a technically correct image and it's all about how it makes me feel, sometimes dark or bright areas leave a little mystery for the imagination to ponder on. So that led me to today's post, technically it's all wrong but I still like it for the reasons stated-oh and the title is an old Manfred Mann's Earth Band track, showing my age again ;)
