So that's it, last day of holidays until Christmas, seems a bit depressing when you say it like that.
The village is a hive of activity today preparing for the bank holiday fete, I have my prints ready for the competition in the village hall, the theme is "In flight" and my entries are pretty poor but it's the taking part that counts right? ;O)
This is just another boat then! We took a walk on our last day from Blakeney to Morston and apart from a nice walk I was specifically looking for old boats to shoot. I found this one along the way just before we got to the harbour itself and whilst it was ok I was looking for something a little more derelict. So we walked out onto the marshes, taking note of the high tide warning signs and things were looking promising-that was until my wife called out to look where I was going and looking down on the ground I'd almost stepped on what can only be described as a pile of bees! There were hundreds of them and when I really looked there were even more filling the air, swarming around in front of us. Now this was extra scary because my wife is very allergic to stings so we beat a hasty retreat! There's always another time for the photos.
I was going to go for straight B&W with this one but it didn't seem to look right to my old eyes so this is the result, let me know your thoughts as always.
